“The blend of traditional typography with a strong, contemporary colour palette represents who Willinghurst is. This was a great project to work on, with close collaboration with the client throughout, bringing her vision to life. The photography and the use of illustrations helped shape the brand’s identity. Throughout the website build stage, dynamic interactions and animations really bought the brand to life.” #Troopwork

Discover
Willinghurst, a 600 acre estate set in the Surrey Hills offers fishing, seasonal family events, eating and a yard for other businesses. They were in desperate need of an identity and website to reflect what they do and the beautiful location in which they are surrounded by. The website was required for people to explore seasonal events, book events such as Christmas grotto, pumpkin picking and purchase tickets to fish the lakes.
Design
The logo for Willinghurst Estate captures the essence of this beautiful setting in the Surrey Hills, where the estate is home to 11 serene lakes. The design uses a sophisticated dark green colour paired with an off-white, creating a natural palette that harmonises with the estate’s surroundings.
The typography in the logo has a unique feature, the L’s have been designed to reflect the natural environment of the estate. Willinghurst stands-out from other fishing estates, through its range of seasonal events and eateries – the ‘salmon’ pink creates contrast and adds personality to the design.

Develop
When developing the brand and website some bespoke hand drawn illustrations have been created to visualise what Willinghurst offer. Specialised drone footage of the area has been taken to show all the different elements which make Willinghurst what it is. As well as this we did a photoshoot of the area to feature on the website.

Deliver
The website launch was a success and it has been great to see Willinghurst having a platform which truly represents who they are. The booking system has streamlined the way they work and visits to the estate have significantly increased since the launch.
